(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konq-e
Version: KDE 2.9.1 CVS/CVSup/Snapshot
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc 2.96
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: SMP - i686

I think when we click on a MP3 the embedded player sould read it and display it in the left frame of konq by this way we can go on working and seing our files while the player work in at the left. In the same time we could click on the directory icon in order to see the tree and music could go on playing... :)

amarok does this ... time to close this bug :)

I agree with Martin. Moreover konqueror 4 doesn't have an integrated player. mp3 are managed by juk (default player) or, eventually, by amarok :-)

Isn't Konqueror still the universal viewer?
It should still be able to embed a kpart the same way kde3 konqueror did to play movies or sounds. Or show images and documents.

Then again, the part would need to handle the display/controls, since Konqueror is generic.
