I have start new session and it works, but when adding(by open directory without kdevelop files, but Makefile file) new project, KDevelop will crash The crash seems to have the same cause as bug#347178 I think. We have some more reports about such crashes in openSUSE Tumbleweed, which uses GCC 5 since about 2 months. E.g.: https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/508423-KDevelop-crash http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2015-07/msg00976.html http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=942358 Since you are using openSUSE Tumbleweed, can you please try to install the package kdevelop4-plugin-cppsupport from here? http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/wolfi323:/branches:/home:/wolfi323:/branches:/KDE:/Extra/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/ This contains the fix for bug#347178 If it still crashes, try the one from here please: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/wolfi323:/branches:/KDE:/Extra/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/ This additionally contains a backport (by me) of https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kdevelop.git&a=commit&h=2f057e2190112e5e838ad7a04eb04a6fde6f2cde and should fix the crash in any case (it's confirmed to work by 3 other users). @Wolfgang does that backport of https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kdevelop.git&a=commit&h=2f057e2190112e5e838ad7a04eb04a6fde6f2cde fix another crash for you in the 4.x series? If yes, please post that patch to KDE reviewboard (or here if you don't want to set up a KDE account) so we can apply it to 4.x as well. And yes, I'llmark this as dupe of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=347178 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 347178 *** (In reply to Kevin Funk from comment #3) > @Wolfgang does that backport of > https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kdevelop. > git&a=commit&h=2f057e2190112e5e838ad7a04eb04a6fde6f2cde fix another crash > for you in the 4.x series? I cannot tell (yet). It doesn't crash here in the first place. (I'm using openSUSE 13.2 and my kdevelop 4.7.1 is built with GCC 4.8, this only seems to be a problem on Tumbleweed with GCC 5.x) According to the latest comments in http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=942358 the existing commit in the 4.7 branch seems to be sufficient. I will try to reproduce the crashes though, and if necessary I'll post my patch to reviewboard (I do have a developer account). Thanks a lot! FYI, the package in openSUSE Tumbleweed contains the mentioned commit from the 4.7 branch now. My own experience so far: I could easily reproduce the crash in Tumbleweed by just opening some random C++ project (downloaded from KDE's git repos). With the patch, that crash is fixed. I haven't experienced other crashes yet (although I have to admit that I haven't used it for "real" work either) I will watch this though. |
