need an opportunity to remember view mode for directories without creating '.dot-files' in them

It is impressive that you have created so many tickets in the last day, but I'm afraid no developers would take care (or even be aware) of them  until you move them into appropriate products.

I'm afraid this is not possible with the current design, sorry. And by the way, I'm not sure if this really qualifies as a "bug".
