I have two virtual desktop on my KDE. After logged in to KDE and switch to the 2nd virtual desktop and then run homerun, Desktop switched to the 1st virtual desktop. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Login to KDE
2. Switch to the 2nd virtual desktop
3. Run/Pressed homerun launcher
Actual Results:  
Desktop switched to the 1st virtual desktop, and homerun viewer showed up

Expected Results:  
Desktop still on the 2nd virtual desktop, and homerun viewer showed up

This workaround work for me:
By adding this line on my KDE startup script

sleep 5
killall homerunviewer
sleep 1
homerunviewer &

This bug is unique and has been confirmed by reproducing it.
