Hi,
Could be correlative with 301577.
Knemo recognize tunnel interfaces status as 'disconnected' on freebsd, but it 'UP'. As result incorrect interface visualization and not collected statistics.
My interfaces 
em0 - Ethernet
ng0 - l2tp tunnel to ISP
tun0 - corporate vpn

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.setup any tunnel interface on freebsd.
[vic@ ~]$ uname -a
FreeBSD  9.0-RELEASE-p3 FreeBSD 9.0-RELEASE-p3 #4: Fri Jul 13 20:34:51 EEST 2012     root@:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/m4500  amd64
