Inactive ICQ account? (possible solution inside)
Thanks, this solved it for me, too.

I agree.
This bug is also reported in the Red Hat Bugzilla for Fedora 17 (KDE SC 4.8.4) on https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=842123 . ... and pidgin handles the situation gracefully. after that, kopete works fine again. ;) Happened again for me. Resolved with login to the official web client and account validation with the link it gave: > Unable to send IM (error 451) > An unknown error occurred (error 451). and delivered to me as my contact's response: > As a security precaution, please click the link to verify your ICQ account http://validate.icq.com/icq/validate.html?uid=177000000&sid=1335000000&lang=en. Kopete still doesn't print an error (like web client does) when trying to deliver my messages. However how it's a bit better because messages are shown as not delivered (were sent to offline contact). Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. |
