Description Frank Steinmetzger 2012-05-06 13:16:23 UTC
When I copy a file which results in an overwrite action, the overwrite dialogue pops up. I know it will show up, so I don't bother reading it and go straight to the "Overwrite" button in the bottom right corner. But before I got there, the dialogue resizes in order to accommodate the now appearing mime icons.

OK, I change course to head for the new location of the button. And again, the dialogue resizes because now it shows me some meta information about the two files (name, date, size etc). So I have to change course a second time.

This all costs a lot of extra time if you use it often.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Ideally, this resizing should not happen, the dialogue should have a fixed default size from the start, so that the buttons stay in their spot.

Confirm, this is really annoying

Still the same in 4.12.5 and its still annoying.
A fixed height (maybe a scrollable meta information panel if the amount of meta data can be changed) would be very handy!

Works for me in KDE Frameworks 5.45.
