Description o.colluphid 2011-07-29 03:47:52 UTC
Version: 2.6.2 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

After maximizing a Konsole window then restoring it to its original size and then maximizing it again the cursor changes from an arrow to a double headed resize arrow cursor and then the entire desktop locks up.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open a Konsole window, using the mouse pointer click on the maximize button. Restore the window back to its original size by clicking again on the maximize button. Then once again maximize the window by using the maximize button.

Actual Results:
The cursor changes from an arrow pointer to a double arrow headed resize cursor and freezes in that position. After a period of time the cursor can once again be moved but has no effect. The entire desktop is frozen and any attempt to switch to an actual console using Ctrl-Alt-F1 fails. The only way out is a hardware reset.

Expected Results:
The window should have maximized once again without the entire desktop freezing.

I tried using gnome-terminal instead and got the same results. This only seems to happen with Konsole and gnome-terminal. I thought maybe there was something corrupted in my distribution and installed a fresh install on another partition on the same drive. The new install reproduces the same results.

Linux 2.6.38-10-generic
