OS: Linux

Hi,

I just tried the 2.0.0-beta5 of digikam to geolocate my Nikon RAW files.

It does not work reliably, it does not find the geolocation for all pictures, although the GPX file contains them. Even when taking pictures in fast bracketing mode, it can happen that only the first is geolocated, but not the other ones taken immediately after (and the GPX track does not have a gap).

And, btw., when trying to apply the found locations, it always raises an error message because it cannot write the GPS location to Nikon raw (it nevertheless writes the location into the digikam database). There should not be an error message because it never ever should modify a Nikon Raw file.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Take a heap of pictures taken while carrying a Garmin eTrex and try to correlate.

Actual Results:
between 20 and about 60 percent of the pictures are not geolocated.

Expected Results:
guess what...

Git commit 64cd87598c53b68f337402393915c2ddfd2a6a04 by Michael Georg Hansen.
Committed on 26/07/2011 at 04:49.
Pushed by mghansen into branch 'master'.

Fix the search for matching timestamps in the GPS correlator. Timestamps before an item were not found if two or more items were between two GPS timestamps, leading to only the first item being correlated, both in interpolation mode and in normal mode.

This should also be the cause for bug 273520, please check whether it is now fixed as well.
