If I use my notebooks (Samsung N150) screen brightness FN keys, the screen brightness OSD appears (showing the correct level of brightness) but the brightness does not change.

Setting Brightness with the slider in the widget does set the brightness correctly. When switching between profiles, the brightness is only changed by one level, even if a larger change is configured.

It seems that the battery plasmoid fails to instruct solid to change the brightness level.

Brightness keys used to work correctly with KDE 4.4.x in Kubuntu 10.04.
