UPDATE: permanent deleting is possible though dolphin says that it has failed in the status bar at the bottom of the screen. The above problem remains - "The process for the trash protocol died unexpectedly" - when moving items to trash. Just confirming the above comment, when deleting a file with shift+delete, the status bar says "Could not delete <filename with complete path>", but it actually deletes the file (though you have to manually refresh the folder to see the changes). As for moving to trash, it just refreshes file-list for me, without any changes or error, and the file is not moved to trashed. I am using KDE 4.7.0 on Windows XP SP 3. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 188618 *** |
