Description Alessandro Ghersi 2010-10-04 02:21:16 UTC
Version: 3.4.1 (using KDE 4.4.1)
OS: Linux

Bug reported here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdesdk/+bug/537621

I'm using Kate 3.4.1 (4.4.1-0ubuntu1~karmic1~ppa1) under KDE 4.4.1 under Kubuntu 9.10 to edit Ruby code. For that I choose Ruby mode, which gives me highlighting, indentation, autocompletion, etc. But each time I save the file I just edited, Kate forgets the mode I put it in and I have to switch Ruby mode back on again.

Reproducible: Didn't try

I think this bug is a duplicate of Bug 258980, that gives a much better description.
