Description Christopher Yeleighton 2010-09-13 19:17:19 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux

Minimising the Action Editor window, when invoked from within Plasma, brings Plasma to complete stupor, and a clever trick is needed to restore the functionality of the session.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
Open the context menu for the Device Notifier icon in the System Tray.

2.
Tell Device Notifier to show Device Notification settings.

3.
Select any action and tell the Device Notification Settings to edit it.

4.
Minimise the Action Editor window.

Actual Results:
4.
The Action Editor window disappears.
Plasma stops responding, at least to mouse actions.

Expected Results:
4.
Plasma should handle this case gracefully, or else forbid minimising this particular window.

Workaround:
Tell System Activity to bring the Action Editor window to front.

Confirmed. The property dialog is modal for some reason.
Comment 2 Björn Ruberg 2010-09-15 23:01:17 UTC
Fixed in revision 1175767. It's backported to KDE 4.5 trunk and should appear in KDE 4.5.2
Thanks for reporting!
