Description Ekeluo Chukwuogor 2010-07-12 22:09:20 UTC
Version: 2.3.1 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

Amarok ignores album art embedded in id3 tags for all my music (mp3 files). Totem, banshee, wmp, itunes, mediamonkey, exaile all read this info (don't get me started on various artists - another story). It makes my collection look dull when I know it isn't.

It's only savior is 200px folder.jpg files left by wmp on scanning. This limits the 'bling' of the coverbling applet, since everything is blurry. My internet connection isn't the best around, so I'll prefer to use it for more important things than getting album which is already in the file it's playing.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Scan collection or manually add file with embedded art but no jpg in folder to playlist.

Actual Results:
Art is not displayed.

Expected Results:
Art in tag is read and displayed.

Even if Amarok does read this art but displays the folder art instead, then that's wrong, or there should be a choice for it. Should show the large one by default.
