Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux

I have a laptop. When I plugin the external VGA display, the xrandr configuration dialog appears automatically, asking me to reenter the configuration every time.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Plug an external monitor.

Expected Results:
I would expect the configuration to be memorized, recognized and applied automatically.
or
I would have a checkbox to disable the automatic display of the dialog box, since I wrote and use a script bound to a shortcut for that.

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-22-generic-pae
Compiler: cc
