It would be nice to be able to switch the PC in suspend-to-disk or suspend-to-ram modes directly from the window kdm. This may prove useful and economical energy for positions in the classroom, self-service or laptops. 
It seems that this option exists under OpenSuse 11 (KDE4) but not in KDE 4.3...
