Tabbing any windows is great idea! I think it's feature is very nessesary for gimp. I open gimp and groupping windows to tab. I add tools panel and layer window to main window (workspace, here images open). Ative tab is workspace, drag window holder the caption is ok, drag window holding alt is ok too. But if I active tools panel... all window is disable, i can't do anything with them, but i can, for example click on folder or icon application through the window
