When visiting a search engine or something like that, you can create a new web shortcut in Konqueror when using the right-click context menu. Rekonq seems not yet to have this context menu, so for adding new web shortcuts Konqueror has to be started.

As Rekonq also uses web shortcuts, it should be able to create them in this program, too.
