I have just seen this bug for the first time. It has happened with KDE-3.0.5a but worked ok with KDE-3.0.5. In my case everything has been compiled from sources with gcc-3.2. Hey I got this prob too, from the RedHat 7.3 built KDE 3.0.5a version. Themes worked with 3.0.3, upped to 3.0.5a... no more themes... I have the same problem. I am using Gentoo and KDE3.0.5a with mine it also copies the theme folder to my home directory. example: I click on Eclicpse in the theme manager. I get this error "Theme does not contain a .themerc file " In the preview pane it says "cannot display theme" and a folder named Eclipse apears in my home directory. This folder contains the Eclipse theme files. I am getting the same error and results as comment #3. I am using LFS 4.0, kernel 2.4.19, gcc 3.2 and qt 3.0.6. KDE 3.0.5a was compiled from source. I'm having the same problem as comment #3. Running RedHat 7.3 and KDE 3.0.4. Decided to upgrade to KDE 3.0.5a and when I did I quickly noticed the problem mentioned above. I upgraded using official RedHat packages, and when I switched back to 3.0.4, the problem went away. I'm running the default Kernel and the default gcc packages. Also using qt-3.0.5-7.14, official from RedHat. I'm also having the same problem as comment #3. I am running Red Hat 8.0 and was using the - probably updated since I'm using up2date - KDE version that comes with that distribution before upgrading to 3.0.5a. I used the rpms linked to on the KDE 3.0.5a announcement (semi-official, I'd say). It is fixed in kde 3.1rc6 Fixed in KDE 3.1 I am running RedHat 8.0 and updated using Ximian RedCarpet to the KDE version 3.0.5a and since then I am getting the same problem. Is there some way to fix this problem for this version or is it a must to upgrade to the latest version? Because KDE-3.0.5a is the latest verssion updated for RedHat 8.0 . Please help me if there is some patch or workaround fo this problem with KDE-3.0.5a . |
