Version: (using KDE 4.3.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Hi,

it would be great to be able to suspend my notebook even if nobody is logged in. Suspend-to-ram is very handy since the system is available much faster than a boot. When I am finished using the system, I would like to be able to log out and suspend the system so that the next user can get to the login screen faster.

Please consider implementing functionality in kdm which allows sending the system to suspend or hibernation from the kdm menu (where I can restart the X server and shutdown the system), and probably on lid switch as well (log out, close the lid and have kdm suspend the system).

Greetings
Marc
