Version: (using KDE 4.2.95)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

If for some reason I need to [Ctrl][Alt][Fx] to another session and then later have to either restart or shutdown my computer I get a very annoying message about an active session being open. Even when logged off from the tty console.

It would be great if I could switch this warning off.

Thanks

fwiw, the "Even when logged off from the tty console" issue is an upstart bug (see downstream report https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=470004 )

I think this is a duplicate of #183274 (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=183274).

like rex said, the actual bug is not in kdm.

regarding the option to disable monitoring ttys at all, i don't think this is a particularly good idea. a tty may have an open editor with unsaved data just like an x session may.

and getting notified earlier is covered by the bug mentioned in comment 2.
