Description jonathan aquilina 2009-05-03 16:16:06 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: I Don't Know

This applies to gutsy gibbon 7.10 as of 2007-10-08 (beta, fully updated)
Mounting/Browsing drives defined using the default method (UUID) in fstab, does *not* work using a link to the device created with "Create new > Link to > Hard disk device" right click menu on the KDE desktop root window. LABELs doesn't work either. It has to be done using /dev nodes.
This can be done in "System settings -> Advanced -> Disk and filesystems", but that is only a workaround, not a solution.

"Hard disk device" entry in the "create new" menu hasn't been offered for some time.
