Description Christoph Lange 2009-04-30 19:18:51 UTC
Version: 2.0.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Gentoo)
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-tuxonice-r1

I purchased a Magnatune album and wanted to download it. The temporary location where it is downloaded to is on /tmp, which is a tmpfs RAM disk of limited size in my case. When the disk was full, the download failed silently: I didn't get any feedback about the failure, and, moreover, the Magnatune view in the sidebar no longer operated intuitively: the tree of albums was empty and only displayed albums/tracks when I entered a search term that was found.

Christoph, can you reproduce this with the current Amarok 2.1.1?

I just wanted to try another Magnatune purchase with a ridiculously small /tmp, but apparently the workflow has changed. I recall that in Amarok 1.9 or 2.0 I could enter my credit card data in Amarok, but now I'm just asked for name, email, and some "gift card code", whatever that is. How do I purchase something in Amarok 2.1?

Christoph, this is work in progress. Nikolaj is currently working on an option to purchase Magnatune albums with PayPal. Stay tuned :)

Nikolaj, can this be closed? Still here since April...
Comment 5 Myriam Schweingruber 2011-04-03 17:02:03 UTC
Is this still valid in Amarok 2.4 or 2.4.1 beta 1?

Closing for lack of feedback. Feel free to reopen if you can reproduce this with Amarok 2.4.1 or later.
