Description Christoph Lange 2009-04-20 16:22:58 UTC
Version: 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2) (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Gentoo)
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-tuxonice-r1

"Find link as you type" (usually assigned to the quote/apostrophe key) finds me links, but then I can't open them: Hitting return does not have any effect.

I still see this with:
Version 4.2.96 (KDE 4.2.96 (KDE 4.3 RC2))
Using KDE 4.2.96 (KDE 4.2.96 (KDE 4.3 RC2))
Comment 2 Kaleb Pederson 2009-08-12 00:35:50 UTC
Still present in KDE / Konqueror 4.3.00. I'd really like to see this working again as well (it worked sometime before KDE-4.2 IIRC).

Comment 4 Burkhard Lück 2011-05-12 17:03:03 UTC
Checked this issue with Kubuntu 10.10 (kde 4.6.2) and master/branch 4.6 compiled from sources:

No action "Find link as you type" anymore, but CTRL+F opens a search bar, check the option "Find links only", start to type, links are highlighted. Click a highlighted link with the mouse opens it.

Please try again with an up to date kde, thanks.
