Description Przemyslaw Kaminski 2009-04-08 12:13:58 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

I've added a contact, then edited its e-mails so that it has two.
Now when I right-click in the addressbook on this contact, a popup shows up to select the e-mail, and I consider this an error, because I just wanted a menu, just like with the other contacts. What's worse, after I click OK, this popup comes up again, and again, quite a few times, and once it even crashed kaddressbook.

Similar problem here. Using kaddressbook coming along with KDE 4.2.2 (Arch Linux, KDEmod).
No Crash so far, but whenever I select an address with multiple e-mails addresses in it, kaddressbook ask over and over again to "select an address".
It's really annoying.

Confirmed in trunk too.

I can confirm this very annoying bug on KDE 4.2.2 in Gentoo. It didn't appear in 4.2.1 for me.

Looks like a duplicate of bug 188475. This regression will be fixed in KDE 4.2.3 (I verified that also right-clicking a contact with multiple e-mail addresses works as expected now in trunk: the context menu opens as expected, without the annoying pop up).

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 188475 ***

The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
