Can confirm this bug. And if you do the following: 1. Boot the computer with AC plugged in and battery removed 2. Hibernate the computer 3. Insert the Battery and remove the AC 4. Wake up the laptop The battery is not recognized and the computer will stay in the performance powerprofile and will simply go off when the battery is empty. I think the main problem in both cases is that the it is not detected if the battery was removed or inserted during a hibernation of the computer. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 185913 *** This bug is not a duplicate of bug 185913, this bug has been fixed in kde-4.3.3 However this one still does happen on 4.3.3 :-( I can confirm this bug on kdebase4-workspace-4.3.86svn1068163 (openSUSE 11.2 RPMs). @Reporters: Still valid? This hasn't happened to me since a long time. (I have used 4.4 stable most of the time and just now switched to 4.5 Beta 1.) Marking as fixed - for sure in 4.6 |
