Do you remember what were you doing when the application crashed? Did you closed a blank Ark window that appeared on startup? Can you reproduce the crash at will ?
Thanks

Yes I know exactly what I was doing. Her it is step by step
step 1 Fresh install
step 2 updating my system
step 3 while updating I tried to reset my clock to the right time, which does not work because it is unable to contact time server.
step 4 startup firefox to look for an solution for step 3
step 5 closed all programs and logout (end session), update was allready finished.
step 6 logged on again....username.. pwd...splashscreen were finished
step 7 the desktop was apearing when bug occured.

Did you used Ark (or extracted some compressed file) before logouting the first time ? . This seems to be bug 175637
