Description Vadym Krevs 2009-03-18 12:33:04 UTC
Version: 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1) "release 108" (using 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1) "release 108", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27.19-3.2-default

I've opened an RDP session to a Windows XP desktop and am running an application (FAR file manager) that relies on being able to handle Alt-F2. However, KRDC does not pass this key combination to the application, instead KDE's krunner is started.

Have you also tried with the "Grab all possible keys" action?
Comment 2 Vadym Krevs 2009-03-26 14:55:23 UTC
Yes, I did - it did not seem to make any difference.
Comment 3 Urs Wolfer 2009-03-26 15:32:08 UTC
Did you also have this issue with a previous version of Qt and KDE? If not, what versions?
Comment 4 Urs Wolfer 2009-03-26 15:35:39 UTC
Sorry, the comment above was meant for your other bug report :P

Hmm, I cannot reproduce this issue. If I enable "Grab all possible keys" it works fine. (and with RDP it also works without if the RDP screen does have the focus...)

Can you also reproduce this issue if your run rdesktop from command line?
Comment 5 Vadym Krevs 2009-03-26 16:41:54 UTC
Yep, rdesktop does not grab Alt-F2 either.
Comment 6 Urs Wolfer 2009-04-05 13:45:28 UTC
Ok, thanks for testing. Not sure if we can find a way to fetch this keyboard input. I will think about a possible solution.
Comment 7 Vadym Krevs 2009-04-05 15:19:43 UTC
Well, it used to work just fine in KDE 3.5.10 ...
