Description Daniel Nicoletti 2009-02-13 17:59:50 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

My applications sets 3 notifications buttons but when the notification is displayed it does not resize properly.
The persistent option also does not have any effect, and the pixmap is
not painted.

This screen shot shows how the third button is out of the pop up (on my laptop the button is even bigger) and it should have an icon which is not being showed.

Thanks.

fix knotify/persistence

Patch against 4.2 branch to address the "persistent notifications don't work" issue here.

K, Debian now is 4.2.4 which allowed me to test, and indeed persistent notifies is fixed. But it still do not resize properly, if i have many actions, or an action with a text too big, that can be a problem, not to mention translations that are sometimes much bigger.

Thanks,
Daniel.

What is the status of this bug? is the patch still valid?
Comment 4 Daniel Nicoletti 2009-08-24 16:57:19 UTC
The patch afaik was already applied and fix persistence, but the title and the description of the bug was mostly about resizing the notifications, which still not doing right (in kde 4.3.0). So imo this bug should remain open.

there have been quite a few fixes for 4.4 regarding this issue, please reopen if it is still valid with current trunk (kde 4.4)
