Description Zayed Al-Saidi 2009-02-03 17:07:08 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

The Login window is always in LTR mode even when the desktop language is RTL language (for example Arabic). The problem is when there are latin an non-latin words in login screen.

i assume you are using the themed greeter. does disabling it fix the problem?
Comment 2 Zayed Al-Saidi 2009-02-03 20:03:09 UTC
No it does not. It makes it a less weird but it still LTR.
Comment 3 Zayed Al-Saidi 2009-02-05 12:31:18 UTC
I will attach two screenshots:
1- the current one which is wrong in the RTL desktop.
2- the second illustrates the correct one (what should greeter be in RTL desktop).

KDM is unmaintained and not used in KDE Plasma 5.

SDDM is the login manager used in KDE Plasma 5. If you still have this same issue with SDDM, please file an issue on the SDDM bugtracker (after doing a search for existing issues first!): https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/
