KDE 3 had the possibility to use postscript filters but I cannot find the same feature in KDE 4. Maybe this is due also to abandoning KGhostView in favor of Okular.

I googled a bit if there are any plans to reintroduce it but the only thing I found regarding KDE 4 and postscript filter is this:

Please reintroduce Postscript filters if possible.

This has nothing to do.

Basically, what happened is that there's no more kdeprint in KDE 4, but we use the crap^W limited Qt4 system.

This is definitively a disadvantage again KDE3. Filters should be usable in KDE4 again. Why should we get worse results with better technology?
