Description Michael Ploujnikov 2009-01-27 00:08:10 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.4)
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.3.0 20080428 (Red Hat 4.3.0-8) x86_64 platform
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

I somehow managed to get the Duplicates search results to get into an inconsistent state:

 - the item counts don't correspond to the number of images displayed in the middle panel
 - the images on the left do not seem to be duplicates of the images in the middle panel
 - some images on the left are show with a placeholder balloon image.

I'm not sure how I got to this state, but this is what I remember:
 - starting from bug #182029
 - I deleted duplicates of one image
 - tried to refresh the item count by going to Album -> Refresh
 - ...I did something I can't remember
 - I re-ran the search duplicates search
 - ...did something I don't remember
 - tried to refresh the duplicates search results by going to Album -> Refresh
 - clicked on a few duplicates search results on the left

This shows that images don't actually match the thumbnails on the left.

This shows a placeholder image. I suspect that this is where the image from bug #182029 used to be (because the items count is the same).

I've just re-started digikam and now all the duplicates search results look correct (so far).

I'm going to try to record my actions better in the future so that I can give a more clear picture of how to reproduce this.

Probably same general problem than 182128

Not reproducible using digiKam 7.0.0 beta1.
