konsole 2.2 KDE 4.1.96 (KDE 4.2 RC1)

a) disabeling “show menu-bar in new Windows” in the profile does not prevent the menu-bar to show up in new windows

b) If the menu-bar is disabled and a new tab opens the menubar is shown again.

c) Sometimes the checkbox in the menu at “Show menu bar” is out of sync with the state of the menu-bar.

The “Hide the menu-bar”-feature is totaly screwed up.

I am using the same version of Konsole, konsole 2.2 KDE 4.1.96 (KDE 4.2 RC1) with gentoo and can confirm that the option "show menu-bar in new windows" does not work like it should. 

And the "Show menu-bar" state in the right-click context menu is really out of sync. sometimes to deactivate the menu-bar, you have to click twice on that checkbox.

I can reproduce this. KDE 4.3 RC1 compiled from sources.

Still present in Konsole 2.4.2 using KDE 4.4.2 -- fresh install of Kubuntu 10.04. 

This has been my observation:
When right-clicking in the body of a konsole window, the Show Menu Bar item always seems to be checked according to the setting made in the Edit Profile dialogue window regardless of whether or not the menu bar is actually showing. 

The actual showing or hiding of the menu bar seems to be determined by the last action (ie checking or un-checking "Show Menu Bar") I manually selected either from the right-click menu or the View menu.
