Description Pascal d'Hermilly 2009-01-13 12:39:44 UTC
Version: 4.2 beta 2 (using KDE 4.1.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Sometimes flash doesn't load properly. However it loads fine in firefox using the same plugin.

Example:
This fails mostly: http://www.akamai.com/

Also, I've experienced the problem in youtube and many other sites. However, there it just doesn't load, some times.

I am using:
64 bit Flash 10.
KDE 4.2 beta 2
Kernel 2.6.27

This was happening to me pretty consistently as recently as Kde2 Beta2 but so far everything seems to be ok since RC1.
I'm using kubuntu Intrepid here.
I've also checked http://www.akamai.com/ as well and all seems to be fine with RC1
Try RC1 and check back to say if this problem is resolved for you.

I can confirm this using http://www.metservice.co.nz/public/localWeather/auckland.html
Compare the website with Firefox, Konqueror is missing the ad banner on the top and right hand side. It happens only with KHTML, webkit worked fine.

Qt: qt-copy 979410

Flash 10.0.22.87

I can see (KDE 4.6.4) that the second URL does not show a flash on top, however
I see that konqi detects a JavaScript error:
"Error: http://adsfac.net/ag.asp?cc=TBB082.145072.0&source=js&ord=%5Btimestamp%5D: TypeError: Attempt at calling a function that expects a HTMLDocument on a Window"

Probably this is the reason, I don't know.
http://www.akamai.com/ works fine here
