Description Frederik Himpe 2009-01-11 19:51:15 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

I opened ftp://ftp.surfnet.nl/pub/os/Linux/distr/Mandrivalinux/devel/cooker/x86_64/media/main/release in Konqueror, and double clicked on an RPM file, and let it open with Mandriva's software installer. After Mandriva's software installer had quit, Konqueror asked me whether I wanted to upload the changes to the file to the FTP server.

First I'm surprised that Konqueror notices have been any changes to the original file. Maybe the file was just deleted or something like that, but it's almost impossible that the contents of the file would have been changed.

And then, it makes no sense to ask the user to upload the file to an anonymous FTP server where he does not have write permissions.

Cannot reproduce. If this is still an issue with a more recent version of KDE, 4.7.4 or higher, feel free to reopen this ticket.
