Description Stephan van den Akker 2008-11-15 13:53:25 UTC
Version:           1.1 (using 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3) "release 55.1", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.0)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.25.18-0.2-pae

Observed on openSuSE 11.0, upgraded to KDE 4.1.3 from openSuSE Factory depository yesterday (14 Nov 2008).

How to reproduce:
- Choose "File Manager - Super User Mode" in the KDE Menu, or type "kdesu dolphin" in Konsole.
- Supply root password (in my case different from user password, I'm old-fashioned that way);
- Dolphin starts, but at the bottom there is a error message: "Could not start process Cannot talk to klauncher: The name org.kde.klauncher was not provided by any .service files." No files or directories are listed. No error messages in Konsole.

Starting dolphin as super user in Konsole doesn't start dolpin - no error messages, Konsole doesn't return to the prompt.

Happy bug hunting,

Stephan van den Akker
