OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

Using KDE 4.1.3 (kubuntu) Mouse cursor will totally disappear when moving off of any link (konq, Firefox) or window frame (Desktop).

Usually this happens when cursor image transition is needed, such as when the Hand cursor (konq) changes to a vertical bar cursor as you move mouse away from a link.

On the KDE desktop, if the window resize cursor is shown as you hover over any window border, sliding the cursor away from the border (either into or out of the window) the cursor will disappear, and no cursor will be shown until you move the mouse a significant distance. This makes resizing windows a pain.

In a dense web page with lots of links, the cursor can be missing for substantial periods of time. (in either Konqueror or Firefox).

I have no idea where this belongs.

Later builds of Kubuntu release of KDE (specifically KDE 4.1.80 (KDE 4.2 Beta1) no longer exhibit this behavior.

Problem seems to have been solved.
