Description William H. Nugent 2008-11-02 12:12:21 UTC
Version: 1.10.1 (using 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27-7-generic

In KDE 3.5.10 if one or more email composer windows were open they were automatically saved when existing Kontact/Kmail or logging out. Upon restarting the windows were automatically reopened. In KMail 1.10.1/Kontact 1.1 any open email composure windows are lost. Emails are stored locally and IMAP is not used.

i just tested this in r882997, and it works. i remind it being broken in 4.1. so i guess it is fixed. is it should be fixed in kde 4.1.73 and 4.2. thanks for the report
