Description Andreas Goeb 2008-10-14 18:01:03 UTC
Version: 1.92.2 (using 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27-7-generic

Amarok 1.4 had an option to change media file metadata in the file browsing view. This was very helpful for a bulk-change of files residing in the same directory.

Example:
You have a set of similar files (same author, same album, ...) seperated in one directory. For some reason they got different metadata information. To correct this, it is convenient to use the file browser, select all files in the directory, hit "edit metadata" from the context menu and do a bulk edit.

Amarok 1.9 is missing this feature. I wish it will be there again for the final release, because it has been very helpful to me in the past.
