Description Peer Frank 2008-10-08 16:13:47 UTC
Version: 1.10.1 (using 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2) "release 44.2", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.0)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.25.16-0.1-pae

replying to a message does not quote the original message body into the composer anymore. Settings are default (composer/phrases & behavior/general). smart quoting on/off makes no difference.
Comment 1 Peer Frank 2008-10-09 09:40:54 UTC
same is true for forwarding a message
Comment 2 Peer Frank 2008-10-17 10:02:23 UTC
now this is interesting/confusing: on a different computer but with same versions of kmail, kde, and linux, the not quoting problem does NOT appear. I use YAST to install the packages and resolve dependencies.
Comment 3 Peer Frank 2008-10-17 10:26:32 UTC
ok, found the culprit. It was the setting in the "composer/standard templates" that was set to BLANK (for reasons unclear to me).
Comment 4 Wolfgang Pauli 2008-12-09 17:41:19 UTC
I had the same problem. It seems like a bug to me, because there did not used to be only BLANK there. Somehow was changed yesterday ...
Comment 5 Allen Winter 2008-12-10 04:17:57 UTC
I also had blank replies in yesterday's KMail built from trunk. But I just did an svn update and a rebuild and now things seem to work again.
