Description Xyzzy 2008-10-03 16:55:45 UTC
Version: 1.2.9 (using KDE 3.5.9)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

When deleting a Contact via Kontact, Kmail or Kaddressbook, the option 'Delete Contact' is available when you right-click the Contacts entry. The system does prompt you, "Do you really want to delete this contact?" and it shows the correct name of the contact to be deleted; Options are Delete or Cancel.

Pressing Delete does, in fact, remove the contact from the screen and it appears that is has been deleted.

Exit Kontacts, or Kmail, or Kaddressbook whichever app was opened at the time of deletion, and then go back in to any of those applications.

The Contact that was just deleted appears again, right where it was in the address book, therefore contacts are not being deleted.

I also tried using the 'Save' Option from the File menu and it still is not deleted.

Thank you for addressing this!

Yes, I checked again this morning at about 11:40 AM CST, and it is still the same.

That's no longer the case with a recent KDE4.
