Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Gdebi-Kde (or other similar application) is not included by default in Kubuntu 8.04.1 KDE 4.1.1. So it can't be installed the manually downloaded .deb packages.

And, when one installs Gdebi-Kde, then it does not ask for any password to install the .deb, but it installs it directly, which may be a security flaw.

Indeed in Ubuntu, Gdebi always requests the password for this.

Sorry, but we do not handle Kubuntu problems.

Please report them to Kubuntu.
