Description Michael Seiwert 2008-09-17 13:04:50 UTC
Version:           Version 4.1.66 (KDE 4.1.66 (KDE 4.2 >= 20080912)) (using Devel)
Compiler: gcc version 4.3.1 20080507 (prerelease) [gcc-4_3-branch revision 135036] (SUSE Linux)

OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Compiled sources

After a fresh kde startup the global shortcuts doesn't work but are visible in systemsettings module. If I reassign an existing shortcut (using systemsettings) the single shortcut starts working, all others don't. After killing/restarting kded4 all global shortcuts start working again.

Have you experienced this bug again with a recent KDE version? (4.2beta2 / 4.2svn) ? Thanks :)

I have the described problem in 4.2.00. Maybe reopen?

sorry. actually not the exactly same problem. My shortcuts don't even work if I reassign the global shortcut in the system settings.

I have installed the new KDE 4.3.1 and global shortcuts dont work. In System settings --> Keyboard..--> Global Shortcuts, when I click the button, this error is showed

"Message: Could not get owner of name 'org.kde.kglobalaccel': no such name
Error: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NameHasNoOwner"
