Description Massimo Gengarelli 2008-09-03 00:11:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

Actually using “radeonhd” drivers on two different PCs and “i810” drivers on another one pc, they all have the same problem.
When I'm using konsole, if I start a program that redraws the whole screen (less, grep, cat, tail, vim, ..), the two last lines are note refreshing, doing something very crappy, the problem persists even if I close the application, the only thing to do is exit the konsole and restart.
Tried removing the default profile and creating a new one, both in the “soft” way (using the settings menu) and in the “hard” way (rm -rf ~/.kde4/share/apps/konsole), nothing helped.
Others term emulators (xterm, rxvt, urxvt, aterm, Eterm) don't have this problem.

Attaching screenshot soon ;)

This is after I did just a arrow down and arrow up, as you can see, the last line is not refreshed..

Hi Massimo,

This is a known problem. Workarounds are documented here: http://kdemonkey.blogspot.com/2008/08/konsole-scrolling-weirdness.html

Thank you for the workaround Robert, I now set the bug as FIXED FOR ME, since the bug persists if you do not hide the menu bar.
But for now, I think I can use it again ;)
