Description Willi Richert 2008-08-22 09:49:28 UTC
Version: 1.10.0 (using 4.1.00 (KDE 4.1.0), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-19-generic

1. right click on an emails address, "add to addressbook"
2. error dialog with subject's error
3. kmail unusable, have to close it

Sometimes, if I start kmail in the konsole afterwards I get

ASSERT: "s->parsed == false" in file /build/buildd/kde4libs-4.1.0/kdecore/kernel/kcmdlineargs.cpp, line 524

I can't reproduce. In the reader window, I right-clicked your e-mail address in the header of the mail bugzilla sent me, and you were added to my addressbook without a problem (ok, the first start of the addressbook took a while).

The second error has nothing to do with this bug report, it probably only happens when KMail hasn't finished shutting down and the user tries to restart it. File another bug report if you want to, don't mix sevaral issues in one report.

Bug 171275 is related to this (same assert crash)

@Willi: I couldn't reproduce the bug on kmail 1.11.2. Would you mind sending the mail having that particular address which may help in reproducing the bug?

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this version of Kmail has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Please try using the latest version of Kmail to see if your issue persists. If it does, please submit a new bug in "kmail2". Thank you!
