Description Peter Soetens 2008-07-23 11:08:04 UTC
Version: 0.9.3 (using 3.5.9, Kubuntu (hardy) 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu7.1)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-19-generic

I'm using a CIFS share to store my pictures, with a local database file. This work around works, but when I turn on 'auto rotate images' in the download dialog, each rotated image ends up in a zero file size. I don't think the rotating itself is causing this (because it works on a local disk), but the way in which the original file is replaced with the rotated version.

Peter,

With digiKam KDE3 (0.9.x), network share support is very limited.

digiKam for KDE4 (0.10.0), network reprositories are fully supported. Please take a try with this version and give us a fresh feedback. Currently, digiKam is published as 0.10.0-beta7

Thanks in advance

With digiKam 5.0.0, this problem is not reproducible.
I close this file now. Don't hesitate to re-open if necessary.
