Summary: Mime type icons not changeable

Description Benno Dielmann 2008-07-19 22:33:08 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.98)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

In the mime type settings dialog ("Edit file type") in Kde3 clicking on the mime type icon opened a dialog where you could select some other icon. Now the icon isn't clickable any more... So there's no means to change a mime type's icon.

Yep, the code is ready, but it's waiting for more people to have shared-mime-info >= 0.40 on their system, and for new API in kdelibs-4.2 -- now that trunk is open I can commit that part.

Same problem was reported by a Mandriva user (https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=48607), so is there any progress?
Comment 3 David Faure 2009-03-25 18:06:58 UTC
Yes, implemented for KDE-4.3.
