Version:            (using KDE 4.0.83)

The configuration for keyboard shortcuts allows one to to define a shortcut with a repeating key, such as "Ctrl+Tab, Tab, Tab, Tab". See enclosed screenshot.

Thats actually by design. This supports emacs-like keybindings.
