Summary: Not associated to print key
Product: [Plasma] kwin Reporter: Antonio Bulgheroni <antonio.bulgheroni>
Component: generalAssignee: KWin default assignee <kwin-bugs-null>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE
Severity: normal CC: antonio.bulgheroni
Priority: NOR
Version: unspecified
Target Milestone: ---
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Latest Commit: Version Fixed In:

Description Antonio Bulgheroni 2008-07-09 10:52:27 UTC
Version: 0.8.1 (using KDE 4.0.83)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

To reproduce the problem

1. Login to your KDE session
2. Open a window (for example a browser)
3. Press the print button

I would expected the KSnapshot program to start up and help me in taking the picture, but nothing happens.

I've tried the enter the keyboard shortcuts (from the system settings) but there is no way to associate the print button to KSnapshot.

This is the output of ksnapshot -version
Qt: 4.4.0
KDE: 4.00.85 (KDE 4.0.85 (KDE 4.1 >= 20080703)
KSnapshot: 0.8.1

I've just realized that somebody may misunderstand the meaning of "print button". I refer to the print screen key on the keyboard!

thanks again

There have been some major changes to the global short cut handling, I suspect this is to blame here.
