Yes, we know about this, we had been expecting Qt's SVG renderer to improve enough to handle that SVG correctly, but that hasn't happened yet (this SVG is rendered correctly by Inkscape). Good that you remind us about it.

Carsten: apparently I don't have the rights to "confirm" the bug.Also: perhaps it's worth recontacting the author (Noémie IIRC?) and see if she can do something about it -- especially as some other element also has a thermometer as icon and doesn't have that problem. Probably it's just a matter of checking what that other icon uses.

Noemie Scherer (author of the original icon) made an updated version. Shows fine here using Qt 4.4.0. Committed in r826756.
